Fall Pops Concert a Huge Success

More than 550 people helped make our third annual Fall Pops Benefit Concert our best yet! Over $45,000 was raised, with the proceeds helping us expand our Cardiac Rehab program.

The concert offered the community lively music from an ensemble of Bangor Symphony Orchestra musicians under the personal direction of concertmaster Trond Saeverud. He added a special surprise of playing violin pieces he conducted himself with Maine grade school students.

This year we were awed by the talents of special guest soprano Suzanne Nance, the host of MPBN’s “Morning Classical Music.” Nance sang both traditional pieces and Broadway showtunes. Everyone agreed that she was a big reason for the success of the event.

Both Saeverud and Nance, along with other BSO musicians, joined patron ticket holders were once again treated to a special Meet-the-Musicians post-concert reception featuring delicious gourmet chocolates and desserts.

This year’s major sponsors were Three Rivers Family PracticeCentral Maine Motors Auto GroupKennebec Savings Bank, and O’Donnell, Lee, McCowan, and Phillips, LLC.
